I'm sorry to say that you're pretty much to blame for all that. Your ridiculous Jeff Cowan analogy, quoting the word "retarted" with the intentional misspelling, even though he spelled it right. You blew this shit WAY out of proportion, and I know I'm not alone when I say that Slapshot is a hell of a good guy and doesn't deserve any of the bullshit you're slinging at him.

Look, no need to apologize for sticking up for your buddy. Slapshot started out with the ridiculous statement that bolland would be the next Gilmour here and Im not the only one who thought WTF????? when I read that. And only when that ridiculous claim was argued did he try and tone down what he originally stated. I very politely argued his point by stating that Bolland is a good all around player who would defenetly produce more when it comes to offensive stats if he played a more offensive role. However he would in no way come close to gilmour's play or production. That was my argument which I stated very politely.

How did slapshot argue against this? By posting videos of some nice highlights by Bolland. I simply argued that video highlights dont prove anything. Just about all NHLers are highly skilled and you can find nice highlight videos pulled off by fringe NHLers and complete busts. It doesnt prove anything. My analogy to Jeff Cowan which you clearly fail to comprehend was to show how ridiculous it is to base yourself on highlights to judge a player. Cowan scored an incredible goal at least 5-6 years ago that I still remember to this day....doesnt make him any better of a player.

So I didnt sling any bullshit at anybody. I very politely argued a ridiculous statement using facts and hockey knowledge. This is a hockey forum where we are meant to have debates. He got all pissy about me arguing his point and started saying that I was just srguing to argue and that I was beign ''retarded''. Well I didnt go into the personal insult teenage girl game as Im better than that. Heck, there are some posters who make fun of others when they post ridiculous statements which I clearly did not do here. I did not make fun of slapshot nor did I insult him. So I think I cut him some slack here even after he responded like a two year old.

So lets get back on topic.
