Petes signed their top two picks from the draft, Slater Koekkoek and Connor Boland. I went to school with Boland for two years.

spits trade shugg and cantin to mississauga for a bunch of draft picks.. kinda surprised and disappointed but all signs lead to rychel re-tooling for another run in a couple of years

Mississauga also gets a compensation first round pick for not signing Ebert.

Which makes absolutely no sense, so he doesn't play for Mississauga yet he's going straight to Windsor training camp.....Well done Windsor, buying their championships some more, and killing other teams in the process.
The only way this deal makes any sense is if the Spits give up a blue-chipper for Kerby Rychel down the road, because you know Mississauga can't get away with just giving up a talent like Ebert for nothing. Last edited by Victorqvist; 08-30-2010 at 03:01 PM. |

Quote:
To Windsor Nick Ebert second round pick conditional pick To Mississauga: Justin Shugg Marc Cantin ebert couldnt be included in the deal including shugg and cantin due to the fact hes a first rounder and cant be traded for players till january so he gets traded in a seperate deal and missisauga gets 2 of their picks back from the previous deal. word is Kerby will be with mississauga till january since windsor already has all 4 of their 94 cards full, in january (windsor will be able to add him and play hm since he will still be on missaugas 1994 card) and then they will trade players (names floating around are ellis/fowler/kassian/ryan) for rychel and a package deal in order to top mississaugas roster up for the memorial cup. |

went to Rangers camp today, definitely a lot of things to look forward to this season. I'm looking forward to seeing who makes the cuts.
Skinner looked great (not a surprise), I just really hope the Canes send him back for one last year and a cup run. I really don't see why they wouldn't, but crazier things have happened. Still waiting on a verdict on the Morin OHL/AHL situation that is being sorted out. Was nice to see him out there today though, this might be the last week Rangers fans see him on the ice here. It'd definitely be a hit in the Rangers lineup if they don't get him back. It's hard to replace an almost 50 goal scorer. First exhibition game tomorrow night against the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies. So glad hockey is back in Kitchener! |
