I know his arm is great at RF, but I really like him at 3B. He could probably win a gold glove at 3rd.

Obviously he has a cannon, which he's demonstrated from RF quite a few times, but I think his range at 3B is underrated.. I think if he can just play consistently solid defence (doesn't necessarily have to be gold glove-calibre) and hit 30-35 HR and 100 RBI, he should be our long-term solution at 3B.

I also didn't realize how young he was (28 or 29). I thought he was like 32

I think he's a better 3B and I believe he's a natural 3B... but we have no one in RF... you can't keep rolling out Snider, Lewis and Wise.. you need an arm in RF... so unless we sign someone like Jayson Werth, there's pretty much no other option but to put him in RF.

I thought we had quite a few solid OF prospects coming? I don't know near as much about baseball prospects as I'd like..

not in RF, not with the arm you need in RF... We need to take a serious run at Jayson Werth

Let Frasor walk and sign Werth... we acquire free draft picks while getting rid of nobody!

It's the same thing that was happening to the Night Owls. Creating a new thread will fix it.

not sure if it was posted but...

Quote:
- Baseball fans have long been warned to look out for foul balls and flying bats.
Now add falling letters to the list.
A fan at the Toronto Blue Jays' game was OK on Monday after being struck in the right shoulder by a tumbling, metal "B" from a sign honoring Jackie Robinson.
The middle-aged man had a scrape after a foul ball by home run leader Jose Bautista of the Blue Jays dislodged one of the letters in a tribute honoring Robinson's retired No. 42.
The letter fell about 30 feet from the facing over the third deck behind home plate in the seventh inning of the Texas-Toronto game.
"I was very surprised, because I didn't expect a 'B' to fall on me," said the injured fan, who gave only his first name as Ian and said he was a season-ticket holder from Toronto. He was watching the game with his son.
Although he was sore, the fan who was struck said the injury wouldn't prove too serious; he throws left-handed.
The white letter, some two feet high, bounced down the aisle and was picked up in the front row by fan Bruno DeRose, who proudly held it over his head. Other fans booed when stadium security took the letter away.
"They should have at least given me a couple of tickets or a ball," DeRose said. "I couldn't believe it happened."

I noticed that this thread was starting to get slow too, which is probably why the multi-quotes won't go away. It's not nearly as slow as Night Owls was (RIP), but it's slower than normal. Hopefully when people like Furby donate and we get the newer, faster platform, all of these problems will be resolved.

Brett Wallace gets his first career home run in a 7-3 win over the Cubs.

Anyhow I hope Rzepczynski pitches well tonight. Where's Scott Richmond?
